A space for last goodbyes. A space for healing.
WeLovedYouHere.org was born out of grief—and out of love.
This project was created by a psychotherapist, who personally knows what it’s like to lose someone to suicide. After losing a loved one, the creator found herself returning again and again to a final letter she had written—words that were filled with love, confusion, longing, and heartbreak. The letter, written as a final text message, was sent too late. Over time, that message sitting in her phone, wasn’t just a message to the person she lost—it became a message to herself.
Through revisiting those final words, she began to understand the depth of her grief, and the quiet truths inside her own pain. And in doing so, she found the strength to face something even harder: her own struggle with suicidal thoughts.
This site exists because of that turning point.
As both a mental health professional and a grieving and struggling human being, she created this space for everyone who has ever whispered, “I wish I could’ve said…” For those who did say something—but it never felt like enough. For those who are still here, holding stories, questions, and unsent goodbyes.
In This Space
WeLovedYouHere.org is a growing collection of final words:
Letters. Texts. Voicemails. Journal entries. Silent goodbyes.
Whether sent or unsent, these messages come from individuals who lost someone they loved to suicide—and are still finding ways to live with that loss.
This site exists to hold space for:
The pain of what was left unsaid
The healing that comes from expression
The connection we create by sharing our stories
Here, your grief has a voice.
And your words may help someone else feel less alone in theirs.
Select submissions will be featured on the website and may be included in a future published book, created with great care to honor every contributor’s vulnerability and story. You may remain anonymous or use a pseudonym if you wish.
You’re Not Alone
Whether you’re here to share, to read, or just to feel understood, know this:
You are not alone.
You are not broken.
And you are not forgotten.
We loved them here.
And we love you here too.
